Adnan Telfah
Head of Mine Risk Education/ Victims’ Assistance Department
Adnan Telfah directs the NCDR’s activities in MRE and Victim Assistance. He is responsible for the overall management, coordination and development of his department, in addition to coordinating with other NCDR units and representing the MRE project to external stakeholders. Adnan is a former officer from the Royal Engineering Corps, where he gained 15 years of experience in demining operations, training, and managing other projects. Starting as a field engineer and growing into Engineer Unit Commander (working with the UN) and soon after that promoted to Training Coordinator operating along with the US Embassy till his appointment with the NCDR in 2006, Adnan has also been proactive with other activities that include, among others, A consultant for International and National MRE and VA programming, a member in the National Strategy for Disability, and contact Officer with international and national Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations. Telfah has a degree in physics from Mutah University, Jordan, and a Diploma in water management and engineering from the Naval Oceanographic Office in Mississippi, USA. He has a solid experience in project management, fund raising and Grant management, training, Capacity Building and Monitoring and Evaluation.
